We coordinate suppliers, contractors, timelines, and installations to ensure the project runs as smoothly as possible. From procurement to final styling, we oversee every detail so that you can enjoy the process and step into a fully finished home.
Founded in 2015 by Jonathan Avnon, after completing studies in Interior Design at Chelsea College of Arts, London, the studio has become one of South Africa’s leading interior design providers. Named after his grandfather, Joseph Avnon, Jonathan’s vision centres around thoughtful craftsmanship, detail orientated interiors, and client-focused service.
His signature approach—infusing nature-inspired textures, vibrant color pops, and sophisticated styling—sets his work apart and has earned features in SA Garden & Home, SA Home Owner Magazine, and on the Home Channel.
Interior Design & Decor Process
At Joseph Avnon Interiors, we follow a clear and structured design journey to ensure your project is managed seamlessly from the very first call through to completion.
1. Introductory Phone Call 📞
An initial discussion to understand your vision, requirements, and budget parameters. This helps us establish the foundation for your project.
2. On-Site Consultation / Home Visit 🏡
A personalised consultation in your space.
Fee: R1,250 for properties within 10 km of Ballito.
Additional travel fees apply for locations beyond this radius.
3. Follow-Up Meeting 🎨
Presentation of tailored mood boards and preliminary cost estimates.
Please note: mood boards are for presentation purposes only. If you would like to keep them, a fee of R3,500 (ex VAT) per board applies. This amount will be credited back to you should you appoint Joseph Avnon Interiors.
4. Contract Signing ✍️
Once the design direction and cost estimates are approved, a formal contract is signed.
Typical project completion: 8–10 weeks (assuming no extensive construction is required)
5. Interior Design Fees 💼
12.5% (ex VAT) of the total project cost.
Please note: We generally take on projects with a minimum investment of R500,000
6. Payment Terms 💳
Interior Design Fee: 50% deposit upon signing, balance payable within 7 days of project completion.
Merchandise & Project Costs: 50% deposit upon signing, remaining 50% invoiced at the halfway stage of the project.
