Interior Designer Ballito

Founded in 2015 by Jonathan Avnon, after completing studies in Interior Design at Chelsea College of Arts, London, the studio has become one of South Africa’s leading interior design providers. Named after his grandfather, Joseph Avnon, Jonathan’s vision centres around thoughtful craftsmanship, detail orientated interiors, and client-focused service.
His signature approach—infusing nature-inspired textures, vibrant color pops, and sophisticated styling—sets his work apart and has earned features in SA Garden & Home, SA Home Owner Magazine, and on the Home Channel.

Interior Design & Decor Process

Introductory Phone Call: We will discuss and assess your requirements and budget allocation in more detail.

On-Site Consultation/Home Visit: This consultation is charged at R1250 for properties within a 10 km radius of Ballito. An additional fee will apply for locations beyond this distance.

Follow-Up Meeting: After our initial consultation, we will schedule a meeting at my office in Ballito Junction Mall to present mood boards and preliminary cost estimates based on your requirements and budget. Please be advised that mood boards are for presentation purposes only. If clients wish to retain them, a fee of R3500 (ex VAT) will apply per board. This amount will be credited back to you should you proceed with hiring Joseph Avnon Interiors.

Contract Signing: Upon approval of the mood boards and cost estimates, a contract will be signed. Project completion typically takes 8 to 10 weeks from this date, assuming no extensive construction is required.

Interior Design Fees: The fee is calculated at 12.5% (ex VAT) of the total project cost, with a flat rate fee of R25 000 (ex VAT) for projects with a spend of R200 000 and under.

Payment Terms:
  - Interior Design Fee: A 50% deposit is required upon signing the contract, with the remaining balance due within 7 days of project completion.
  - Merchandise & Project Costs: A 50% deposit is required upon signing the contract, with the remaining 50% invoiced and due at the halfway point of the project.
