Is there a minimum project spend?
Yes, we generally take on projects with a minimum investment of R500,000
How are your design fees structured?
Interior Design Fee’s are charged at 12.5% ex VAT of the total project cost.
How do we get started?
Every project begins with an introductory phone call. This gives us the opportunity to learn more about your vision, requirements, and budget, and to understand how we can best assist you.
Do you offer in-home consultations?
Yes., after the introductory phone call we offer a personalised on-site consultation in your home or property, allowing us to better understand the space and discuss your project in more detail.
What is the consultation fee?
The on-site consultation fee is R1,250 for properties located within 10 km of Ballito.
For locations beyond this radius, an additional travel fee will apply.
What happens after the consultation?
Following the home visit, we arrange a follow-up meeting to present tailored mood boards and preliminary cost estimates. This helps bring the design direction to life and gives you a clearer understanding of the overall scope and budget.
Can I keep the mood boards?
Should you wish to retain the mood boards after the presentation, the fee is R3,500 ex VAT per board. This amount will be credited back to you should you proceed with Joseph Avnon Interiors.
How long does a project usually take?
Most projects are completed within 8–10 weeks, provided there is no extensive construction involved.
What are the payment terms?
Interior design fee
A 50% deposit is payable upon signing, with the balance due within 7 days of project completion.
Merchandise and project costs
A 50% deposit is payable upon signing, with the remaining 50% invoiced at the halfway stage of the project.
