A plan for every room, shown on concept boards with a visual of the finished space and agreed with you before anything is ordered.

Furniture, fabrics and made-to-measure pieces ordered, tracked and followed up, with samples brought to you to choose from.

Builders, plumbers, electricians, tilers and painters briefed, booked in the right order and overseen on site until the work is finished.

Every delivery received and checked, then stored safely until the house is ready for it.

How long it takes
8 to 10 weeks
Decorating and furnishing projects without major building work usually take around 8 to 10 weeks, depending on the final scope and supplier delivery times. Renovation timelines depend on the extent of the work.

Before you begin
What does it cost to get started?
The introductory call is free. A site visit costs R1,250 within 10 km of Ballito, or is quoted by distance elsewhere. The visit fee is credited towards the design fee if the project goes ahead. The overall project cost depends on the scope and the finishes.
Why hire an interior designer when AI can design a room?
AI is a useful tool, and Jonathan uses it to visualise ideas. It can show you a look and suggest what to buy, but it can't make it happen. The studio chooses the fabrics and finishes, has pieces made to measure, and works on site with every contractor, from swatching paint on the walls to agreeing with the electrician how low a pendant should hang. Every order and delivery is handled for you, through to the final styling. AI can show you a picture. An interior designer brings the room to life.
Does the studio take on smaller projects?
Yes. Jonathan works on anything from a single room to a whole home. For smaller projects, a minimum design fee applies.
Does the studio work outside Ballito?
Yes. Jonathan works on homes across South Africa.
How are the design and budget agreed?
Each room is presented on a concept board, with a mockup visual of how Jonathan envisions the space alongside its key elements, and a preliminary estimate of the overall cost. You review these before going ahead, and nothing is ordered without your approval. A separate fee applies if you'd like to keep the concept boards before formally proceeding, credited towards the design fee if the project goes ahead.
What about furniture I already own?
Tell Jonathan which pieces you would like to keep when you discuss the project. The scheme is built around them.
Who coordinates suppliers and contractors?
Jonathan does. He recommends and briefs them, and is on site to oversee the work.
Do I need to be there while the work happens?
No. Designs and costs can be approved remotely, and you'll receive regular updates as the work progresses, right through to handover.
