Kenton-on-Sea, Eastern Cape

Jonathan decorated this family's Johannesburg home as one of his very first interior projects, so returning years later to work on their holiday home at Kenton-on-Sea felt especially meaningful.

Set high above the town with views out to the sea, the contemporary home was designed around the clients' vision of a modern beach house. Open-plan spaces flow easily from one area to the next, creating a comfortable and uplifting setting for relaxed family holidays by the sea.

A fresh palette of cool blues and greys, soft neutrals and relaxed coastal textures runs through the house, chosen to sit comfortably alongside the light and the views. Each of the children's bedrooms was given a character of its own.

With the family based in Johannesburg, every stage was taken care of on their behalf, from the finishes through to the final details, so they could arrive to a home that was complete and ready to enjoy.
