How a renovation is managed

Assess the property
It starts with a site visit to walk through the property and discuss what needs changing, what you'd like to keep, your budget and your timing. Any photographs, plans or ideas you have are a helpful starting point.

Agree the design and costs
Layouts, finishes and materials are presented with mood boards and an initial cost estimate, along with clear advice on what will work best for the property and your budget. Once refined and approved, the detailed selections and quotes are finalised.

Select suppliers and contractors
Trusted suppliers and tradespeople are brought in for each part of the work, from flooring and joinery to curtains and wallpaper. Every quote is checked against the plans, and nothing is ordered or started until you've approved it.
A clear programme sets out the order of work, so each trade arrives when the property is ready for them. Suppliers are followed up and deliveries timed around the work, with furniture and finishes arriving as each room is ready.

Manage the work on site
The renovation is overseen on site from start to finish, with regular visits to meet contractors, resolve questions and check everything against the agreed plans. You're kept updated throughout and only brought in when a decision needs you.

Install and hand over
Once the building work is complete, furniture, lighting, rugs and artwork are installed and every room is styled. The finished home is then walked through with you before handover.

Share the property’s location, the changes you are considering and your preferred timing. Photographs or existing plans are welcome, but you do not need a detailed brief to begin.
The introductory call is free. A site visit costs R1,250 within 10 km of the Cape Town CBD, or is quoted by distance elsewhere. The visit fee is credited towards the design fee if the project goes ahead.
